We’ve all dreamed of playing in the big game. Hitting the winning shot, a walk-off home run, or an overtime goal to win the Stanley Cup.
But the truth is, 99.9 percent of us don’t have anywhere near the skills you would need to even think about playing professional sports.
But what if we got that chance? What if one of the league’s teams called you up and pressed you into duty? What sport could you contribute the most in, or, hurt your team the least in?

Now THAT is what people want when the trade deadline rolls around.
None of this waffling about should they make a move, or tinker, or ride it out with what they have and hope it works out.
The Washington Capitals, the best team in the NHL, went out and got the best player available this trade deadline season, and are going balls out to try and finally win the Stanley Cup.
I love it.

A couple months back we broke the news that something called V7 Studios was making a throwback hockey game that would be available for download, and remain relatively cheap.
Well, the studio went quiet for a while and published some new updates to the teams, rosters, and overall game, because as I said at the time, it looked exactly like the movie ‘Slap Shot’ in video game form.
Well they finally announced a launch date and price…at least for people with PlayStation 4.

It’s only February 17, but we may have just witnessed the sporting event of the year last night in the Indoor Football League.
The league kicked off its 2017 season in the most bizarre, amazing, and entertaining way you could have possibly imagined.
The fans called the plays, the fans and players stormed the field, and camera crews tried to show a doctor working on an injured player.
And that was just the first half.

With football season over and most sports that are playing slogging towards the end of their respective regular season, the staff here at HOTSPROTSTAKES decided it was time to pick some of our favorite alternative sports video games.
The rules were simple: Alternative sports games, like Blitz, NBA Jam or any of the Mario sports game, not simulations or attempted simulations like NHL 94 or old Madden Games. Five rounds, snake draft.
If you picked a series like say, SSX, you get all of the games in that series, this saves us from arguing over slight variations of the game that are really the same game but just made kind of different two years later so they could have more money.
Here’s how the draft went down.
