East Playoff Teams: Cleveland, Boston, Washington, Toronto, Milwaukee, Detroit, Charlotte, Philadelphia
West Playoff Teams: Golden State, San Antonio, Houston, Oklahoma City, Minnesota, LA Clippers, New Orleans, Denver
Conference Finals: Golden State vs San Antonio; Cleveland vs Boston
Finals: Golden State vs Cleveland
Champs: Golden State

MVP: Kevin Durant
Rookie of the Year: Ben Simmons
6th Man: Rudy Gay
Coach of the Year: Steve Kerr
Defensive Player of the Year: LeBron James

3 BOLD Predictions: The Sixers will make the Playoffs, but not in the way Sixers fans quite expect. Even if we operate under the assumption of Joel Embiid playing in about 75% of their games this year, it’s hard for me to see this young team cracking the top 4 in an HEY LOOK WE GET IT ALREADY Eastern Conference.

LeBron James will win his first Defensive POY. The four-time MVP winner has been vocal about not having received the award in the past, despite having the tools to be the league’s best defensive option. Award voters seem to have taken the MVP off the table for Bron, but it would be shocking to me Akron’s Finest retired without a DPOY on his mantle.

The Pelicans will run two All-Star big men and break the mind of every analytics dork on the internet. In an era of “three and d” and “space and pace” the Pelicans are brining back classic, old-school, grit and grind basketball, but with a twist. Both Anthony Davis and Boogie Cousins have the ability to pass, make plays off the dribble, and shoot from range. So while they are bucking the small ball trend, the Pelicans bigs aren’t black holes for the ball and will be a fun team to watch over the 2017-18 season.
