IFL Week 1 reactions: Can anyone stop Arizona and Sioux Falls?

The Indoor Football Season started this past weekend and all three games were competitive, gave us glimpses of what we can come to expect from each team, as well as an idea of who we will likely be seeing at the end of the season in the United Bowl.

Is this the last season of the IFL?

The Indoor Football League kicks-off its 10th season tonight, and once viewed as the top alternative to the Arena Football League, the IFL is a shell of its former self after an off-season that damn-near saw the league merge with another league, and left them with just six teams after a court ruling three weeks ago. The rise and fall of the Arena Football League through the eyes of @KedgeOnline

I went to the very first game in the history of the Dallas Desperados in 2002, then I went to the second, then the third and then eventually every game for the first four years of the Arena Football League club’s existence.

I was hooked the second I saw the field, the giant nets that took up the entire end zone and heard the silly coyote howl that played over the PA system that marked the opening kickoff. I lived and died with every result. Cheered every touchdown like it was in the Super Bowl and gritted my teeth at the hated Arizona Rattlers and Orlando Predators.

Starting in 2002 I couldn’t consume enough AFL content and just one year later that content became easier to consume than ever.
